We have a variety of FE News podcasts, with a mix between 1 hour podcast and radio shows such as SkillsWorldLive podcast and radio show which we produce in conjunction with the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB) with experts discussing the future of education and the future of work, to microcasts giving a short explanation from a thought leader on the latest education news podcasts, education policy podcasts unpacking the latest education research or an EdTech podcast discussing the latest technology developments to help engage learners and students. The FE News team also record podcasts at conferences and events with experts.
There are over 150 podcasts and more education news podcasts appearing every week discussing Education News UK and our EdTech podcasts discussing how technology is making an impact on the future of education and work based learning. We have Podcasts with thought leaders and senior policy experts discussing the latest education news UK.
Regular FE Podcast contributors are education and leadership experts such as Arnie Skelton who has an exclusive weekly leadership podcast providing tips and advice to lead and motivate your teams. Arnie has been recording weekly podcasts for over a year now and they have been incredibly popular (Arnie’s podcasts have reached number 11 for podcast downloads that week in the leadership section of iTunes).
The FE News team also regular Future of Education podcasts and the future of work podcasts. Previous FE News podcasts have included Skills and Apprenticeship Ministers sharing the latest podcasts on education policy insights, to experts researching the future of education and work, with podcasts with the Institute of Education from UCL, to the latest developments in education and work based learning with EdTech podcasts with EdTech specialist across the globe (we have recorded podcasts with experts from Google for Education, JISC, to EdTech podcasts on the future of AI and Augmented reality in education), through to Matthew Syed sharing leadership insights with podcasts on Growth Mindset for leaders and teams.

During the Coronavirus Pandemic, we have been running a daily one hour long radio show and podcast with the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB). SkillsWorldLive is a daily independent radio show helping the Further Education and Skills sector navigate the uncertain times created by the Coronavirus pandemic. SkillsWorld LIVE is hosted by Tom Bewick, Chief Executive of the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB). Further Education News Podcasts format
We have three style of podcasts:
Microcasts – which are under 10 minutes in length giving a quick snap shot or soundbite . This could be with a expert or thought leader unpacking the latest policy or education news UK development.
Podcasts – the Further Education News podcasts are usually 10 minutes plus in length. These would be in an interview format, usually discussing a key topic, unpacking research or education policy. We also attend conferences and record education news podcasts with the main speakers from the conference to unpack their speech or announcement to deliver this to our audience in a more digestible way.
Full length Radio shows and 1 hour long podcast episodes – We have had a regular podcast show with the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB) called SkillsWorld and the Live radio show called SkillsWorldLIVE, hosted by the CEO of FAB, Tom Bewick with discussion and debate with experts across Further Education, Skills and the World of Work.
