Long before the pandemic started earlier this year news about further education was often dominated by the year-on-year decline of Apprenticeships starts in England. In fact, the trend of decline has carried on since 2016/17 and the most recent statistics confirm a 18% year-on-year decline in 2019/20, accelerated significantly since the beginning of the pandemic in March.
@Lifetime_UK has been awarded Apprenticeship Provider of the Year for both Care Services and Catering & Hospitality at the AAC Apprenticeship Awards 2020.
Lifetime received the two awards at a ceremony in Birmingham on 3rd March which celebrated the best training providers and employers across a range of sectors. On the night Lifetime joined more than 44 organisations and individuals shortlisted across 22 categories.
@Lifetime_UK has launched a new Chef Academy initiative to further enhance the skills and knowledge of chef apprentices. The Lifetime Chef Academy consists of a range of masterclasses and enrichment days to develop technical skills in a supportive environment.
Lifetime is the largest hospitality apprenticeship training provider in the UK and created the academy to meet growing demand for masterclass-style learning. It was developed in partnership with industry-leading chefs including celebrity chef Joe Hurd. The Chef Academy provides hands-on learning experience to further enhance the Commis Chef Level 2 and Production Chef Level 2 apprenticeship delivery.
