Youth Employment UK (@YEUK2012) exists to provide young people with the tools they need to progress, supporting 14-24 year olds regardless of their education, employment or training status or location within the UK. Over the last 12 months we have been working even harder to support young people, predicting the impact Covid would have on their journey to work.
It is great to see @RishiSunak so committed to his #PlanforJobs, leading the way in creating an ambitious plan for young people and bringing stakeholders together to support that plan. Government Departments are working flat out to deliver these plans and once lockdown is lifted we will hopefully start to see the tide turn for young people.
Youth Ambassador Chair, Harvey Morton welcomed our attendees to our Disability & Creating Opportunities session, the second session of our week long Symposium series. This session was supported by Rabia Lemahieu, Disability and Skills Manager at Disability Rights UK, Kim Forsythe, This-Ability Project Manager, Humber LP, Susie Pearson-Giddings, Head of early careers, St James’ Place and Youth Ambassadors Arron and Ella.
