Barton Peveril Students Continue with DofE Awards Despite Lockdown

Two @BartonPeveril Sixth Form College students have successfully continued their Silver Duke of Edinburgh (@DofE) Awards, despite the difficulties imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown. Oliver Bown and Sophie Wade are now on course to receive their awards as planned this autumn.

Barton Peveril Subsidise Bus Travel for County’s Students

@bartonpeveril will subsidise bus transport for all of its students, who use @Xelabus and @BluestarHQ buses, throughout the 2020/21 academic year. As a result of the College’s pledge, annual bus passes on Xelabus and Bluestar will be significantly reduced from £650 to £350. Barton Peveril have supported its students throughout the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and continue to do so with this subsidy scheme. Due to Government guidelines potentially limiting the number of times students attend lessons on campus, and therefore use their bus passes, the College has subsidised the regular price to reflect this.

Barton Peveril Named FE College of the Year

@BartonPeveril Win @EduFuturists College of the Year Award  Barton Peveril Sixth Form College have won the FE College of the Year Award in the national Edufuturists Awards 2020, which took place in an online ceremony on Friday 10th July 2020. Barton Peveril received the award because of its digital learning capabilities and continued success delivering teaching and support remotely.

Barton Peveril Celebrate School Artists in Annual Competition

@BartonPeveril Sixth Form College has successfully run its Schools Art Competition for the second consecutive year, receiving 240 entries from pupils in 33 of the county’s schools.

Barton Peveril's Allotment Gets Growing

@bartonpeveril Sixth Form College’s Allotment Project has had a successful first year, becoming a source of produce for the College canteen and offering students a chance to learn new skills outside of the classroom.
