Sharon McDonald is currently studying Carpentry & Joinery at @BordersCollege. The 43-year-old from Galashiels previously worked in an administrative role within SQA’s Verification department, but recently decided on a career change.

Ross Mair is currently studying Hairdressing @BordersCollege and is passionate about doing what he loves best. Aged 18 and from Greenlaw, he became interested in the industry at a young age and decided to enrol on the Schools Academy Hairdressing programme while at school.
Monica Riddel is currently studying Painting & Decorating @BordersCollege and knows all too well the importance of females in the construction industry. Having previously studied on the City & Guilds Painting & Decorating course in 2016, she could see the benefits women brought to the trade, and was determined to follow this career path.
