A group of Borders College (@BordersCollege) staff recently took part in the first-ever Choose College Virtual Showcase, giving prospective students the chance to chat with them and find out what exciting opportunities the College had to offer.
@BordersCollege - Despite the circumstances, March delivered the latest successful Train to Gain course in conjunction with @NHSBorders. In the absence of work placements, the course was adapted to give the candidates a fulfilling experience.
Offering either an Administration or General Service focus, the content was specific to these areas. Completion of the four weeks saw the candidates gain recognised certificates in Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Data Science.
Former student wins backing of global energy giants to develop unique pipe repair technology for industrial use @BordersCollege
Former Plumbing student Ross Dickinson, who completed his training with the College back in 2004, has secured the backing of OGTC and some of the world’s biggest energy sector companies to develop his unique pipe repair solutions for industrial applications both onshore and in the harshest offshore operating environments.
Students from Borders College (@borderscollege) paid a visit to the doctor’s recently, to learn more about how properties can be re-purposed and retrofitted with new technology, such as ground source heating systems, to significantly reduce a building’s carbon footprint.
@BordersCollege HND and Developing Sport Year 2 students are celebrating a fantastic achievement, having just completed the ‘500 Miles for 500 Pounds’ challenge and raising £660 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
