I have been teaching and assessing in the further education and skills sector since 1983. I have written many text books aimed at new teachers, trainers and assessors in the FE and skills sector. I'm a director of my own company Ann Gravells Ltd, an educational consultancy based in East Yorkshire.
I specialise in teaching, training, assessment and quality assurance, and hold a Masters in Educational Management, a PGCE, a Degree in Education, and a City & Guilds Medal of Excellence for teaching. I'm a Fellow of the Society for Education and Training, and hold QTLS status.
I create resources for teachers and learners such as PowerPoints and handouts for the assessment, quality assurance, and teacher training qualifications.
I've worked for several awarding organisations over the years producing qualification guidance, policies and procedures, and carrying out the external quality assurance of teaching, assessment and quality assurance qualifications. As part of this role I have worked internationally as well as in the UK.
I'm currently a consultant to The University of Cambridge’s Institute of Continuing Education, Ofqual, and Training Qualifications UK (TQUK), the UK’s fastest growing awarding organisation.
