Andover College celebrates A Level and BTEC student success during another unprecedented year

Andover College (@Andovercollege) celebrated its students’ success on Results Day (10 August) for both their A Level and BTEC Students. There was huge pride and sense of achievement from staff, students and parents as students came to collect their results in a series of small pre-booked sessions and enjoyed complimentary Crêpe and Coffee. Students welcomed the opportunity to celebrate with their peers, family and lecturers whilst reflecting on all they have achieved during their time at the college, especially over the last eventful 18 months!

University Centre Sparsholt (@UC_Sparsholt) Degree Student, Sofia Forino has won undergraduate first place at the 2021 Equine Science Symposium which took place virtually between the 1-4 June this year.  

Former Sparsholt Principal, Tim Jackson honoured with TES Lifetime Achievement Award

Former Sparsholt Principal (@Sparsholt_Coll), Tim Jackson has been honoured with a prestigious TES Lifetime Achievement Award at the online TES FE Awards 2021 surrounded by industry experts and peers.  

University Centre Sparsholt Lecturer, Dr Kate Johnson wins £6,500 in funding from The Farmers Club Charitable Trust 2021 Agricultural Educators Awards

@UC_Sparsholt Lecturer, Dr Kate Johnson has won £6,500 in funding from The Farmers Club Charitable Trust (@TheFCCT) 2021 Agricultural Educator Awards.   Dr Johnson is a Higher Education Lecturer for Fisheries, Aquaculture and Marine and is a course tutor for the FdSc Marine Ecology and Conservation degree at University Centre Sparsholt (UCS). The prestigious award will fund, when restrictions allow, travel to Malaysia to visit universities and fish farms to study novel aquaculture.  On completion Dr Johnson will produce a report on ‘An investigation into the development of novel fin fish aquaculture, with a focus on minimising environmental impacts.’ The report once completed will be submitted to the Farmers Club Charitable Trust and a summary of the report may be published in the Farmers Club Journal.
